Dear B'nai B'rith Camp Job Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in B'nai B'rith Camp! B'nai B'rith Camp is the premier Jewish resident camp in the Pacific Northwest. Since 1921, we have dedicated ourselves to providing the finest summer experience for today's campers while preparing them to be tomorrow's community leaders. Children from families reflecting all aspects of Judaism are exposed to diversity, which comprises the Jewish spirit. We strive to teach the values and ethics of Jewish living by example, experience, and creative expression. B'nai B'rith Camp welcomes all campers and staff regardless of their religious affiliation.
Located on the east shore of Devil's Lake on the Oregon Coast, B.B. Camp is adjacent to the Suislaw National Forest. Nearby Lincoln City is a popular tourist town during the summer, and Portland is a short 2 hours away.
We have an outdoor heated pool, and waterfront activities offered on the lake including canoeing, paddleboating, sailing, hydrotubing, and water-skiing. B.B. Camp offers a high and low ropes challenge course designed to promote problem solving for all skill levels and abilities. Archery, basketball, tennis, soccer and volleyball are typical sports offered at B.B. Camp. Additionally, we offer Jewish enrichment, arts & crafts, creative arts, and environmental education activities.
Typically there are 170 campers each session, and approximately 85 staff will be on the B.B. Camp team this summer. Staff receive at least 2 hours off each day, plus some evenings and 24-hour periods. Cabins sleep up to 15 people, are heated, and include electricity and bathroom facilities. Shower houses are a short distance from the living areas. Most staff live in camper cabins; some staff will live in other housing. Staff share living space with at least one other person. There is a staff lounge on the premises and a coin operated laundry nearby.
